From Thursday through Monday, the marina will be featured at the Progressive Insurance Chicago Boat, RV and Strictly Sail Show, located downtown at McCormick Place. More New Construction Photos

New homes are coming out of the ground all around the neighborhoods of River Dunes.Along Eastcove Way, the Clark home is already showing foundation work.Built by M.E. Maher Construction, this home is going to take advantage of some great views of Broad Creek.

Another really busy neighborhood this summer is Broadwaters.There are several new homes in various stages of architectural review, engineering and construction.The Lassen family has cleared a building pad for their new carriage home on Homestead Road.Additionally, the Tikkalas have marked trees to save on their homesite on Parris Creek in Broadwaters.Both of these homes will be built by Watermark Custom Homes of North Carolina.

Construction Update – New Home in Summerplace

Built by ARK Development of North Carolina for the Johnson family, the first custom home in the Summerplace neighborhood is nearing completion.This newly released section of homesites features unique architecture and truly spectacular water views from every homesite.The Johnson home takes full advantage of its location on Mill Creek and Broad Creek and offers beautiful views from every room in the house.

Construction Activity at River Dunes

Today’s blog entry will be the first in a series over the next few days detailing some of the exciting new construction in River Dunes.In addition to the building going on in the Harbor Village, there are new custom homes breaking ground in Oyster Point and Broadwaters, as well as the first new home in the Summerplace neighborhood nearing completion.It’s going to be a busy summer!

The Provision Company, located on Harborside Road, just across from the Harbor Club and Marina, is on track for a projected completion in early fall.This addition of retail and gathering space for boaters, cottage guests and residents will be a welcome addition to the Harbor Village.

River Dunes hits the Road to DC Real Estate Show

This past weekend, members of the River Dunes Team headed to Tysons Corner, VA for an Ideal Living Real Estate Expo.Attended by over 1300 people, the show was a big success.We always enjoy talking about River Dunes, and we had a great opportunity to do just that!Our next road trip is to Kent Island, MD for the Bay Bridge Boat Show.Hope to see you there!

Happy Thanksgiving from River Dunes

It’s a wonderful time of year in coastal North Carolina. It’s a time of thankfulnesss for all that we have and awareness of our many blessings, including the beauty that Mother Nature provides for us every single day.Take a moment to enjoy the view!

More Construction Photos – Tennis Courts, Fire Station, New Home

The fall of 2013 has offered beautiful weather for all the construction activity going on in the community. Work continues on the two new Har-tru tennis courts, located in the Harbor Village at River Dunes.Grading, compacting and leveling are going on every day, weather permitting.

At the same time, site prep for the new Fire and EMS Station, located just across from River Dunes main entrance on Orchard Creek Road, is well underway.

Custom home construction in the Oyster Point neighborhood continues as well, with the Davis home nearing completion; and the Duttry family preparing to move in their new home in time for Thanksgiving.

A Gorgeous Fall Day at River Dunes

This weekend was picture perfect at River Dunes.The fall skies were Carolina blue, the temperature was moderate, and the marina was full of boats.Here are a few shots we snapped of the marina and Harbor Club.It’s a great time to visit.

New Homes Nearing Completion

Three new custom homes in the Oyster Point neighborhood will soon be ready for occupancy.The Vanderzyl home will be ready for move-in in about two weeks.Located on a quiet cul-de-sac with views of Mill Creek, the owners are excited about getting settled at River Dunes.

The Duttrys will be moving in late summer or early fall.They plan to be settled in at River Dunes in time for the POA Homecoming Weekend in October.

The Davis family from California, are also seeing real progress on their home on Eastcove Way this summer.We’re really looking forward to welcoming all these new friends and neighbors to River Dunes!

It’s been awhile since our roving camera was out and about, recording the progress of four new homes in the Oyster Point neighborhood.What a surprise today to find out how well things are moving along!If we continue to experience the mild temperatures we’ve had in eastern NC this winter, we’ll soon be welcoming four new families to their River Dunes homes!

New Homes Moving Right Along

River Dunes three Master Builders – Watermark Homes of NC, Stuart Hardy Construction, and M.E. Maher Construction – have been very busy with four new homes going up in the Oyster Point neighborhood of River Dunes.The beautiful fall weather has allowed construction to continue to move forward on these homes from lot preparation to foundation work and framing.We’re looking forward to welcoming all the new neighbors to Oyster Point!
