Clay Shooting on the Riverside

On Saturday, guests and owners at River Dunes enjoyed what has become a March tradition, the Annual Clays and Cuisine Weekend.  Though the clouds were heavy and the wind was brisk, the rain held off and clay shooting went ahead along the Riverside in the Dunes neighborhood of the community.  An enthusiastic group of participants gathered in the early afternoon, and everyone who wanted to try had the opportunity to test their skill and aim.

That evening a nice group enjoyed a spectacular game dinner at the Harbor Club prepared by Chef Robert that included four courses, followed by bourbon tasting and cigars by the fireplace on the porch.  Another great event weekend at River Dunes!

On Saturday, after the annual POA meeting, owners, club members and friends enjoyed a house-warming party at the Ura Residence.

The Uras treated everyone to a tour of their Mike Maher home and Chef Robert’s Clam Chowder (delicious), delicatessen sandwiches, sweet tea and homemade cookies for dessert. Throughout the community, model homes were open for tours and “idea-gathering”.

In the afternoon, property owners got to choose between our trout-fishing competition, kayaking, or a guided eco-tour onboard the Miss Grace.

Afterwards, Watermark Homes hosted a wine-and-cheese hour at a private home overlooking the Sound before everyone headed to the oyster roast by the Harbor!
