It’s all about the Water at River Dunes!

May 26 - 29, 2017

Our May Discovery Weekend, scheduled for Memorial Day, May 26-29, will be a celebration of all the wonderful things that the waterfront lifestyle we enjoy here at River Dunes offers.

For our real estate guests, we’ll kick things off on Friday evening with a Sunset Wine and Cheese Cruise aboard Miss Grace, our restored 1932 Core Sounder. Dinner, following the cruise, will be at the Harbor Club and will feature locally-sourced dishes.

On Saturday morning, Continental Breakfast and coffee will be served at the Provision Company. At 10:00, a casual information session about River Dunes neighborhoods will be held in one of the Boathouse Row homes. Your sales agent will schedule your private community tour and boat ride on Saturday afternoon.

At 3:00, we’ll kick off the summer season with one of our favorite activities, a Raft-Up.  River Dunes owners and club members will be “rafting up” their boats in nearby Broad Creek.  There will be great food, ample beverages, and lots of fun on the water.  You don’t need a boat to join in the fun – we’ll have a “ferry” running back and forth to the dock all afternoon.

At 6:00, we’ll join one of our owners in their waterfront home for a laid-back Porch Party, followed by a casual dinner.

On Sunday afternoon at 3:00, you won’t want to miss a live performance by The Entertainers, one of North Carolina’s best Beach Music bands.  There will be plenty of food, beverages, and great music that will get you up on your feet and dancing.

The cost of the weekend is $399 per couple, including 3 nights in a Guest Cottage at River Dunes and all weekend activities.  Call 252-249-0253 or email frontdesk@riverdunes.com for reservations or information.

The plan is to meet at the Grace Harbor Provision Co. at 8:00 am and form teams to cover the four mile stretch. Please RSVP if you’d like to join a crew. Deli sandwiches will be waiting for hungry clean-up volunteers on Monday afternoon!

This year’s Neuse River Day is on April 9th, during the Oriental Boat Show, so lots of local folks have pledged to complete a clean-up in advance of the official Neuse River Day. Harborfest for Heartworks was a smashing success!

September 26, 2015

Last weekend’s fund-raiser, Harborfest for Heartworks, held around Grace Harbor at River Dunes, provided a great time for all who attended. The weather was beautiful, the entertainment and food were spectacular, and, most importantly, funds were raised to support the non-profit center that provides services to the children and families of Pamlico County.

The weekend’s events started on Friday evening with barbecue and dancing to the band Saltwater Gold.Saturday, throughout the day, live performances were held at the Outdoor Amphitheater. There was also an art show, a classic car show, and live demonstrations of paddleboarding and fishing. The highlight of the weekend was a gala dinner dance on Saturday night, catered by the Chelsea, with live and silent auctions, followed by dancing to the sounds of The Entertainers.

Congratulations to the volunteers, staff, board members and friends of Heartworks for providing such a great event and for all they do for the families of Pamlico County!
